The following procedures are in effect for dealing with warmer temperatures. The District office monitors the temperature and informs schools when to follow warm weather procedures. When Inclement Warm Weather Schedule is called by the District the following are in place:
Lunchtimes are reduced to 30 minutes for eating and playing.
Patio misters are turned on around the lunch bench area to provide cooling element.
Students may eat lunch under the shade covered picnic benches or in the Multipurpose Room
(unless we are short supervisors)
Students may remain under the shade cover or in Multipurpose Room as long as they desire.

Students may remain under the shade cover, Multipurpose Room, or "cool room" (Room 12) as long as they desire.

Students are encouraged to reduce activities and use the shade of trees on playground to cool down.
Students are reminded to hydrate themselves by getting drinks of water from drinking fountains. The cafeteria also sells bottled water at lunch for 50 cents each.
Teachers conduct physical education early in the day or within their classroom.
The the last primary recess is conducted in classrooms.
