The CAASPP Test is a required California State Test for students in grades 3-6 at the elementary level. The test assesses individual student knowledge, understanding, and application of the California State Standards of learning for each grade level based upon each student's current grade.
The window for CAASPP for the 2017 school year is March - June.
Each school has flexibility in scheduling each of their 3-6 grade classrooms to administer each component of the CAASPP Test. A bulk of the test is administered online, so schools do need to schedule their testing cycle around their school's computer/VDI Lab availability. Your child's teacher will provide you with the specific dates of the class's testing schedule. Students need to attend each day of their class testing. Your help and encouragement is appreciated.
Parents are provided test results for their own child during the summer following the testing period.
The following links are provided to give parents a greater understanding about the CAASPP Test, its content and its value in monitoring their child's and learning the educational program provided.
